Zener Diode Types

need to build a circuit with Vout =1.2V?

i need a circuit that uses diodes, zener, capacitor, resistances and a source Vin=15V so that i can have a Vout of 1.2 V and the current passing through it to be 160 mA. I have the type of circuit but i have problems with the diodes.

try this.

Series circuit, starting from +15, go through a resistor, then the 2 diodes in series, pointing towards ground, then to ground. voltage across the 2 diodes will be about 1.2-1.4 volts.

R = 13.8v/160ma = 86 ohms, 3 watts.

You don't need the zener.
