Zener Diode Resistor
Zener diode regulator?
If you have Vs = 8, R = 22 Ohms, Volts Vz = 5 Volts, Izk = 5 mA, Izm = 100 mA and a load resistor of 20 Ohms, how can you find the output voltage ?
The source Voltage is in parallel with Zener diode and load resistance. The source resistance is in series with the zener diode and lod resistance paralleled together.

The person above is right, you need to shows us where the load is placed in the circuit, as well as where the zener diode is placed. I can only guess that you meant R is a source resistance in series with the source voltage Vs, and that the zener diode is parallel to the voltage source as well as parallel to the load. But this is only the best guess I can do, you really need to tell us the exact circuit. Also I don't know what you mean by Izk and Izm... obviously Iz is the zener current, but what does k and m stand for??

Diode Zener Tester
Building a 400V Power Supply Circuit Help/Check....?

I have used a series of zener diodes to step the theoretical 680VDC down by 400VDC to produce 400VDC across the 4 diodes.
The circuit should draw about .01A across the resistor at 680VDC.
Question: Will the voltage potential stay 400VDC across the Zener diodes with an empty capacitor bank? Full Bank? Will it even work?

Yes, 400Vdc will stay with empty or full bank, and it will work as long as you change the doubler circuit.

Note: make sure you leave at least one capacitor in the bank to smooth out the DC ripple. Also their rating should be at least 400V.
