Zener Diode Regulator Circuit

If the power supply has a ripple voltage of 100mV, calculate the ripple voltage at the load for a zener diode bulk resistance of 4K ohms and a load resistance (RL) = 2K ohm.
Ripple would be the same at the load. Since the Zener is going to be a high resistance to it, the ripple voltage will not be affected by it, in a real life situation.
What it appears that you are figuring on is the "resistance" of the zener, in parallel with the 2 K ohm load, which based on that, the ripple should divide by about half. It won't since the impedance of the Zener diode is to high for it's resistance to be effective as a voltage divider with the load resistor. That "bulk resistance" is a calculated value based on the dynamic properties of the diode junction after the knee voltage is reached. Once the "knee" voltage is reached, the diode goes into conduction and the operating values of the diode change.
