High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles YAG (Yard Auxiliary, General) training vessels are wooden boats built between 1954 and 1958, and based at CFB Esquimalt in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada. The vessels are used for training Canadian Forces regular naval officers, naval reservists, and members of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets in basic seamanship, vessel handling, and navigation. According to the Department of National Defence, in 2000, a total of 1830 personnel were deployed on the YAGs for a total of 585 days and steamed over 25,000 nautical miles (46,000 km) in support of training. YAGs displace 70 tonnes, and are divided into five major belowdecks compartments: right forward, a chain locker, then the forward cabin, containing the galley, one of the heads (washrooms) and the officers eating and sleeping areas, as well as the gyroscopic (gyro) compass. Nd:YAG-Laser MY40 for Pulmonary Surgery by KLS Martin

Is Lupron injection safe?

I am 21 years old and I had surgery last week for endometriosis and my doctor used a yag laser to burn it out. She said I will have to take treatment for 6 months. She is putting me on the Lupron injection 3.75. One shot a month for 6 months. (if my insurance approves it). She said it will put me through a menopause like state and I wont have a period for the 6 months I'm on the treatment. I am just wondering if this is a safe drug and am I making the right decision to do this instead of pills daily? And what side effects should I expect from the injection?

Side effects that have been associated with the use of Lupron Depot frequently include hot flashes and night sweats, and less frequently palpitations, syncope, and tachycardias. Other side effects include generalized pain, headaches, vaginitis, nausea/vomiting, fluid retention[, weight gain, acne, hirsutism, joint pain, loss of sexual desire, depression, dizziness, nervousness, and breast changes such as tenderness and pain. There have been no deaths directly related to therapy with Lupron Depot.

Although Lupron is not a cure for endometriosis, the pain relief it provides can last for several years. During clinical trials, 63% percent of women diagnosed with mild endometriosis said they were symptom-free five years after the end of treatment. Only 26% percent of women diagnosed with severe endometriosis still reported that they were symptom-free after five years.
