Windows Optics What apsects of Light and Optics are incorporated in a window? ( a glass window)?

Polarization, refraction, reflexion. The fact that it lets you see through it already involves a lot of physics.
Look at the windows (homes, vehicles, businesses, hospitals, even your television, etc.) around you. Do they all look the same? What makes them different?
Susceptibility Tensors for Nonlinear Optics is a unique and invaluable reference book with accompanying software. Starting from basic principles, the book presents a detailed introduction to the concept of optical susceptibilities of crystalline media. Substantial appendices include useful tables of third, fourth, and fifthrank susceptibility tensors for major nonlinear optical effects. Integral to the book is an entirely original TURBO RANK software package (compatible with PCs running MSDOS and Windows) that allows the calculation of the symmetry of material tensors up to seventh rank, effectively superseding conventional reference tables of high rank tensors. This package is also useful for scientists working in solid state physics, crystallography, acoustics, and materials engineering. Author: Popov, S. What Kind Of Wireless Router Should I Buy For New Computer?
Just bought a new computer (Lenovo B500) and really don't know what type of wireless router I should purchase.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
We have DSL and are on Fiber Optics, no modem, just the cable from the wall to the computer
802.11n technology
Just want to be able to use our laptop in another room and get a wireless printer
Was unsure of the differences with the G - N - Broadband, Etc.
Thanks for any help!
I would get a N router. Any of the major brands should be O.K.
The difference between G and N is speed. Both are going to be faster than your internet - unless you have very high speed service. But N is faster and there is not that big a price difference.
Broadband is typically 1 - 10 mb/s (Mega bits per second)
G is up to 50 mb/s But typical transfers are about half that.
N is 150 mb/s to 600 mb/s depending on the router and WiFi card configuration. 300 mb/s is usual. Again actual data transfers are slower.
Network printers are typically 802.11 G. So you could go for a cheap G router, run everything on that and probably never notice any difference. But the geek in me says a N router is not that more expensive and if you get network storage, or another computer will allow faster transfers over your network.
Whatever you get, be sure to set up the security and the encryption.
