White Light In the spectrum of white light, why yellow is considered as the mean colour?
In the spectrum of white light,there are seven visible colour. So the average or mean of these seven colours should the 4th colour which is green. Then, why yellow is considered as the mean colour?
You really could consider yellow or green to be the mean color.
On a frequency basis, visible light ranges from 400 Terahertz to 790 Terahertz (may be slightly off).
On a vacuum wavelength basis, it ranges from 380 nanometers to 750 nanometers.
The corresponding digits of these numbers are complete coincidence. Also, 790 THz is violet and 380 nm is violet. Thus the 700 numbers do not mean the same color.
The average frequency is 595 Terahertz (504 nm), which is green
The average vacuum wavelength is 565 nanomenters (540 THz), which is yellow
Either of these colors, though different, can be defined as the mean color
Another concept to consider is that the seven colors of the rainbow have no specific spectral width per color, neither do they have any concretely defined limits of each color. Red has an extremely wide spectral width compared to the other colors in the rainbow. It is the human eye that creates 7 distinct colors out of the rainbow.

What are the best super white light bulbs for my jeep wrangler sport?
I am looking for super white light bulbs that have a blue look to them but are also legal. I have been doing research but there are hundreds of them on the market. I am looking to spend 60 bucks max. If you have a jeep with lights like this could you send me a picture? thanks
how are PIAA H4 Bulb Twin Pack - Xtreme White Plus Series? any feed back on them?
If you're doing it for looks please do everyone a favor and rethink your thought. stick with 4000K-4300K lights and everyone will be happier. You won't get annoying glare back at your that "super white" lights give off and you won't be annoying anyone with your glare that the lights are producing. If you're doing it for brightness the super white don't help lighting at all, its still the same lumens and if it has the blue coating it will not have as many lumens.
PIAA makes decent bulbs but are overpriced IMO. Check out Phillips brand, they produce a +30 and +50 bulb at the same wattage as factory bulbs, they will produce some extra light that you need without the annoying glare that "white" lights produce. Check out the X-treme power by phillips, it delivers "up to" 80% more light.
Stay away from any light with a blue coating, its just an illusion!
Also remember, white lights can not cut through rain or snow, instead it gets reflected right back at your face. Try it sometime, you're better off driving with no lights.
