A new laser color has just landed at ThinkGeek and we like what we see. Red and even green lasers are now fairly common but blue lasers not so much. So, if you want to have the latest fashionably cool laser color this year, we've got you covered. This laser outputs light in the 405 nanometer wavelength which produces a very unique blue-violet color beam, that is unusual for a handheld pointer. This is also the same wavelength used in Blu-ray DVD players. The shorter wavelength allows more data to be stored than on a standard DVD which uses a red laser (650 nanometer). This laser is certainly awesome but it's also useful for applications such as biomedical instrumentation, imaging, spectroscopy, laser induced fluorescence sensing, microscopy. What colour would a very high energy laser be?
I need it to be visible. I was told that the highest energy light is violet. is this true and does that mean violet is the answer?

The visible laser with the highest wavelength is indeed violet, but it is also one of the least "visible". The brightest colored laser that I have seen or know of is green because it is a vibrant color. I have only a 30mw green laser and i can see the beam quite good at night, in the daytime the sun just drowns all of it out. I would then probably say that yellow is the next most vibrant colored laser, however, yellow lasers are quite expensive. Red is also moderately visible but only is the beam easily visible at high powers such as 100mw or maybe even at 50mw.
