Can someone please tell me what each one defines and if possible post a picture please:analogous color scheme,
combo of 3 different textures, applied design, formal balance,informal balance,radial balance,vertical balance,horizontal balance. This is about clothing for my fashion class.

Analogous Color Scheme

Examples :-
red, orange, and yellow
green, blue, and purple
yellow, yellow-green, and green

In an analogous color scheme, usually one color is dominant and the others secondary in importance.

Pros: The analogous color scheme is as easy to create as the monochromatic, but looks richer.

Cons: The analogous color scheme lacks color contrast. It is not as vibrant as the complementary scheme.

Tips: 1. Avoid using too many hues in the analogous scheme, because this may ruin the harmony.
2. Avoid combining warm and cool colors in this scheme.

Symmetrical (Formal) Balance

Symmetrical balance is mirror image balance. If you draw a line down the center of the page, all the objects on one side of the screen are mirrored on the other side (they may not be identical objects, but they are similar in terms of numbers of objects, colors and other elements. Sometimes they are completely identical (often seen in architecture).

Asymmetrical (Informal) Balance

Asymmetrical balance occurs when several smaller items on one side are balanced by a large item on the other side, or smaller items are placed further away from the center of the screen than larger items. One darker item may need to be balanced by several lighter items.

Although asymmetrical balance may appear more casual and less planned, it is usually harder to to use because the artist must plan the layout very carefully to ensure that it is still balanced. An unbalanced page or screen creates a feeling of tension, as if the page or screen might tip, or things might slide off the side, just as the unbalanced balance beam would tip to one side

Radial Balance

The third type of balance is radial balance, where all elements radiate out from a center point in a circular fashion. It is very easy to maintain a focal point in radial balance, since all the elements lead your eye toward the center.

‘Radial Balance’, has a central focal point in a generally square compositional format. Some examples of radial design are, targets, and traffic signs (yield, stop). Radial balance is also used in many culture’s artistic works

How do I find the horizontal and vertical asmytopes of this curve?

First, we can factor the denominator to get:

y = (x² + 2)/(7x² - 34x - 5) = (x² + 2)/[(7x + 1)(x - 5)]

We see that the denominator is made zero at x = -1/7 and x = 5. So these are your two vertical asymptotes.

Since the numerator and denominator have the same degree, the horizontal asymptote occurs at the ratio of the leading coefficients. In this case, it occurs at y = 1/7.

Therefore, your two vertical asymptotes at x = -1/7 and x = 5 and your horizontal asymptote is y = 1/7.
