Can you give any reference to solve the problem in designing combline bandpass filter using Microwave Office?

For the basic combline bandpass filter, i'm using schematic diagram using Microwave Office software to determine the graph of insertion loss and return loss,but the result is not as required..Moreover, i also need to differentiate between the basic combline bandpass filter and the tunable combline bandpass filter..and yet the result is not ok and have errors occured as the active device that being used which is varactor diode is not appropriate ( as what i understand)...

Most generic filter expressions assume a common impedance like 50 ohms in and out. The varactor is not a 50 ohm load. Put a 50 ohm source and load on the filter and see what happens.
You will have to either design a matching filter or match the varactor to 50 ohms.
As for the difference between a comb line & tunable comb line, the only difference is in the implementation of the capacitive loading on the resonators. One's fixed, the other uses variable caps(e.g. tuning screws)
