domestic electricity meter burnt out . the supply company says, it may be due to excess load on power lines?
I have one TV, one water motor to pump up the water from underground tank, motor is 0.5 hp., one geyser, one computer, one fridge.six fans and 12 lamps/tubes to lighten up. I have one inverter to give power when supply goes off.
Recently my power failed and when everyone around got power, my house was in dark. on getting supply company man check the complaint, it was found that meter is burnt out. I could not understant how it happened. I request, suggestions, the steps to take ,to prevent the repeat.what equipment to put on check. I have already installed MCB, that checks, powrsuges and switches off the current from mains.
I am from India, and have 440volt supply. Other technical details are not known to me. thank you.
