How early/often do you change Invisalign aligners?

I'm currently in my couple weeks of treatment for Invisalign.... my ortho said to change the aligners every 2 weeks, but my top aligner has become fairly loose (meaning that the teeth have moved where they're suppose to for that stage). In fact, I can pop them out with my tounge because they are so loose fitting now. It's been about 10 days since I put this first set in and am wondering if I can go ahead and put in the next set... anyone know? I just put in the second set and they fit in fine (they're a little tight, but so were the first ones when I put them in). Am I able to start wearing them at day 10?

I am an Orthodontist and probably can help you. First of all stop flipping aligners in and out with your tongue. They are supposed to be in your mouth and staying on your teeth. I generally recommend my patients to change aligners every three weeks instead of 2. The Way I assess the the time to switch the aligners is by following how well the aligners are tracking. Tracking means the aligners should fit snugly around your teeth and no space between the aligner and edges of your teeth. Hope that helps.
