Round Optical What is the best all-round digital camera for under £100?
I am looking for a cheap digital camera to take with me anywhere because I am getting an expensive SLR camera for christmas which I won't want to lose or break.
The camera must-
Not have much shutter lag
A few cool effects
Good quality INDOORS as well as outdoors
Flash, duh
10MP or more
Optical zoom
Good brand, maybe Samsung, Song, Nikon or the best, CANON (I love Canon) If it is Canon, my mum would like it to have a view finder
Good memory
An ok battery life

Realy it depends on what you like, but there is a good deal at Comet at the moment on the FUJIFILM A160 digital camera.

What is that round, grey soft foam thing that came out of the optical drive?
While processing a DVD+R disc, my DVD optical drive jammed. In an attempt to retrieve the trapped disc, I'd shut down the PC, powered it back on and pressed the Eject button. By using my fingers, I managed to pull the disc tray out of the drive with my disc in it. BUT, after I did this, I noticed a round, grey, soft foam-like object protruding from the opening that jammed the tray. Although the DVD drive works fine after the removal of that object, I'm still worried. What does that thing do in the drive and how can I place it back inside correctly if its removal has a negative long-term effect?
No I don't have children lol but I'm guessing the only danger is the exposure of the foam spacer to small kids?
The foam thing came from the package your disk came in. You can find that same kind of foam "thing" is almost every DVD+R/CD+R package. It's just the padding from that case. It is nothing to be worried about.
