Reflecting Blue Laser

My dog chases reflections of light, help hes to big and strong to be doing this, HELP!?

He is about 1 1/12 years old, around 80lbs and strong. he is a pure bread blue pit. he is a big sweetheart and just likes to cuddle until he sees a rock or laser or flashlight or anything that reflects, he just goes nuts, yelping and screaming. he completely ignores me and there is no eliminating things that reflect light there are just to many. and if i put him in the other room he will flip out yelping and crying, then there will be a gallon of drool on the floor and the door will be soaked from him licking it. he will try to bite the nintendo wii controller out of your hand thats the worst, he acts like we are throwing rocks when we play bowling wich can be a problem with our four year old. other than his ocd behavior for rocks and lights he is a great dog, im getting him fixed in hope that it will calm him down. i want my dog to be a good dog, what else can i do to stop this behavior?

My brothers cat is strange?

It is completely white with blue eyes. It goes crazy going after light reflections but if you call it, it makes no response at all. the other day I was teasing it with sunlight reflected from a laser disc but it was purring as though it was having fun chasing after something it could never catch

White cats with blue eyes are often deaf, so have that kitty checked by a vet ASAP. The food test won't always work...it could smell it and come anyway. If it is deaf, it cannot be let outside, for safety reasons and it should also be fixed, as the deafness can be passed on to other generations. And if it is a girl, being a deaf mom is really hard, since she couldn't hear her babies cry.
But it may just be the traditional selective cat hearing too. Many cats do not come when called, but some will. One of mine responds to whistles. Kitty may just be ignoring you.
As for the strangeness, they're all quirky in some way or another. That's the beauty of owning a cat...never a dull moment!
