Red Laser Diodes Why do dvd laser diodes burn and regular laser diodes do not?
ive seen red laser diodes everywhere and i know you ot supposed to point them at anyones eyes, but ive seen blue lasers (the ones that come inside a dvd drive) and you cant point them at anything because they will burn at certain distances. Why is that the dvd (blue) lasers burn and the regular (red) lasers do not?
Red lasers in CD-R/W drives *do* write to discs. It's just that they're of much more energy, and far more focused than the pointer-laser that you run around playing "sniper" with.

Lighting is essential to modern society but it accounts for nearly 20 of the electrical energy usage. For Hair reduction, some of the common lasers being used are ND YAG, Diode, IPL, and more recently SHR. All have their indications and limitations.
