Red Dot

Is it possible to remove a red dot from my point and shoot camera?

There seems to be some red dot that appears on the screen of my digital point and shoot camera. It appears in every picture and video that I take, and it always appears in the same fixed position. I've tried cleaning my lens with cotton, but it still doesn't seem to come off. Is there a way of removing the red dot?
The camera is a Canon Powershot A590 IS.
@ryssee: The red dot appears on the pictures when I look at them on my computer.

It probably a bad pixel in the screen and it is impossible to fix bad pixels and this will not affect the image or the functionality of the camera. If you want to get it fixed my suggestion is to get a new screen. If you warrenty is still good then I would claim it if anyone but the factory caused the damage because the warrenty covers anything that came defective out of the factory. In other words it will not cover personal damage or any damage caused by you other than the factory. The warrenty is only good for one year after the purchase of your camera.

What Red dot scope is a better bang for the buck?

I'm having trouble deciding which red dot to purchase. Its going on a saiga 223 and Remington 870 pump so it needs to handle recoil well. Its between a Sightmark Sure Shot Reflex Sight for $44 or a Truglo 30mm Black for $30. Or if you know of any other red dots that would work well for under $60 feel free to give details.

Red dot sights are one of those "you get what you pay for" items. If you want a decent red dot sight be prepared to spend ten times the amount you're looking at. An Eotech 512 or an Aimpoint Comp M2 would be much better choices.
