Q Switched Laser
Do tattoo removal creams such as Wrecking Balm, Nuviderm, and Tat B Gone actually work?
Please only reply if you've actually used one of these products, had a tattoo removed by laser, or are a doctor or laser technician who would know if these products work.
I have a rather large tattoo on my shoulder, it is red and black and I have fair color skin. I have gone through 2 laser treatments (top of the line Q Switch Laser) but haven't noticed any drastic change in the tattoo's appearance, just some fuzziness around the edges. The clinic I go to has told me that it may take a couple more sessions before I notice any drastic lightening of the tattoo, and may take up to 15 sessions to remove it completely, which is disappointing to me because I thought I'd notice some changes already. Would I be better off trying one of these creams along with the laser treatments or even abandoning the laser in place of the cream all together?
It doesnt completely remove the tattoo. It only fades them and sometimes it takes alot, depending on the size of the tattoo. Laser removal is the only thing that will remove it, but again depending on the size, it will take awhile to see results. I went with my friend to get her tattoo removed. She had a flower on her hand about the size of a 50 cent piece, it took 4 trips to the doctor, to get it completely removed. The only bad thing is that it leaves that area looking like a bad scar/burn.
But you could ask the doctor who is doing your sessions if you could use that inbetween treatments.
