Is the Kodak 5000 series printers notorious for the print head going bad, quickly?
I've owned 2 because the first one a 5300 gave me trouble so I took it back to Best Buy and they swapped it for a 5500. This week another person I know bought one and it's having the same symptoms as mine(when you run a demo sheet the eyes on the kids faces are white spots on the demo sheet.
I think so. According to what I've recently read about the Torrey Pines Research, Kodak is the worst printer in ink wastage. I Think there is a mutual link there.

How to clean print head if they are blocked with dried ink
whats the best way of cleaning the nozzles on a canon print head?
the printer model is the ip4000. im looking to clean the print head without the use of the print head cleaning function on my printer? i heard the best way of thouroughly cleaning the print head was by dipping the whole part in some nail polish remover? sounds funny. does that work. good answers will be highly appreciated. thanks!
I would try some rubbing alcohol swabs.
