If one cup of cooked rice is 225 calories, how many bowls of rice would the cyclist eat to replenish the energy consumed?
What is the average resistance the cyclist overcame to achieve this?

Calories*0.4= work done,
so Calories needed =3780kCal
2) 3780kCa / 225 callories/cup = 16800
(I beleive that you have the question wrong here as 50g of rice should have about 22.5Kcal of energy, so if this is that case then the answer to to is 16.8cups, which is more reasonanble)
3) If Work = Force X Distance, and Work = 1512kCal
, and Distance is 23miles=36.8km=36800m then
