Post Mount Base
I'm replacing "french-door" swing gates (6'h x 7'w). I need to put a post in the middle. Problem-concrete...
I am basically eliminating one of the swinging parts and converting the space into a 3' stationary fence with a gate coming swinging from this new post. To do this, the new third post needs to be mounted on top of finished concrete. I don't feel comfortable using a face mounted base bracket to hold the post. Any ideas to set this post (post to be 6' high, 4x4 treated wood) without cutting into the concrete?
I think you've answered your question - you already think cutting into the concrete is the best solution.
Or maybe your fence design needs revision. Do you really need to mount the gate on this post? Or the post at all? Could the gate slide rather than swing?

How do I replace a broken rear wiper arm on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
The rear wiper arm snapped off when my wife backed into the pickup. Only the wiper arm base remains attached. The post the base is mounted on is threaded. However, when I use a wrench the base doesn't loosen.
on the wiper arm there should be a rubber cap covering he nut that holds on the arm, remove cap, remove nut, you may need to pry off the wiper arm or tap it with a hammer to free it from the post, remember tnot to hit the threads causing damage to the wiper motor.
