Where can I find a good physics website?

Hi, I am doing physics at university and I didn't do it in high school. Is there a good website I can go to with worked problems, good explanations, etc to help me? If there is a website with animations and/or audio as well that would be awesome. Having worked problems, with steps and solutions is probably most important though.

I'm looking for sites relevent to the topics of:
- Properties of matter (stretch/stain, flow of liquid, etc)
- Mechanics
- Electricity
- Waves
- Optics
- Thermal physics

There are possibly others but this is what we've covered so far.

Thank you

the best i've seen: http://www.glenbrook.k12.il.us/gbssci/phys/Class/BBoard.html

Try also:
MIT free course blahblah (sorry... i forgot the name)
solutions for the iPhO (international physics olympiad)

based on experience, it is really hard to get some decent physics materials online without paying money. i'll recommend buying a cheap physics book (i like University Physics 11th ed), then if you need the steps and solutions, go to iyuda.com or cramster.com.

XRay Optics Optimal Design by Li, Yaming [Paperback]

XRay Optics Optimal Design by Li, Yaming [Paperback]

$152.95

Synchrotron xray optics, such as mirrors and monochromators, are used to reflect, focus, or spectrally filter xray beams. The effective delivery and utilization of xray beams rely on the quality and performance of these optics. One of the key issues affecting optimal performance is the deviation from ideal shape of the optical surfaces. Such deviation can be due to limitations in manufacturing, but, more often than not, they result from thermal and/or mechanical forces on the crystalline substrate. Thus, understanding the deformation and the methods used to minimize undesired deformation can ensure acceptable optical performance. This book addresses rigorous analysis and design optimization of optical substrates subjected to thermal and/or mechanical loads. N-Vision Optics Night Vision vs Thermal Imaging

I am a high school student. Should I take Advanced Physics or Advanced Chemistry?

I want to study environmental and animal sciences in college. Which one will be more helpful? I will include the course descriptions for each:
Advanced Chemistry:Advanced Chemistry builds upon the material in Conceptual Physics and Chemistry. Topics include solutions, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, kinetics, spectroscopy, quantum mechanics, and organic chemistry.

Advanced Physics:Advanced Physics is a college preparatory course that builds upon the topics covered in Conceptual Physics and Chemistry. Students must be able to apply math concepts learned through Advanced Algebra. Topics include Newtonian Mechanics, Thermal Physics and properties of Matter, Wave Theory, Electricity and Magnetism, Atomic and Nuclear Physics, and Special Relativity. A sixth topic is selected from Electronic systems, Astrophysics, Particle Physics, Thermodynamics, Geometric Optics, Time-Varying Currents, or Solid State Physics.

I have to agree with the other comments. I'm a Physics major and I considered going into Animal Sciences as well. At my university at least, they only require animal science/pre-vet students to take two basic-level Physics courses, but more than that are required for Chemistry, so it would probably be better for you to get a head-start on the Chemistry, although either one would still be great for you to do.
