Optics Parts
Looking for the normal dust cover for my AK-47?
And yes, I have been looking online for hours.
The one that came with it is designed for attaching scopes and other optics. You can still look under the mount and use the sights but I hate looking through a narrow tube to shoot something 100 yards away.
Maybe I have the name of the part wrong, because I have been looking online for hours and the only ones available are similar to mine.
Found one in about 30 seconds at akparts.com for $12.95.

Optics question - Focal length dealing with the eye?
What is the focal length of the eye lens system when viewing an object (a) at infinity and (b) 30 cm from the eye? Assume the lens-retina distance is 2.0cm
I assume I have to use the eq. 1/f = -1/do + 1/di , but am confused with part (a)
just take the object distance as infinity...then 1/infinity =0; then 1/f =1/v u have the value of v. calculate f
