Optics Laser Lens Can I widen a laser show scanner beam ?

For all you laser show fans or any physicists out there:
A laser XY scanner produces a laser beam at a certain angle and speed. Most cheap scanners can produce an angle up to 20 degrees or so.
Is it possible to expand the already 20 degress to say 60 degrees by any means ? Perhaps a special diverging lens ?

Compressed air is, 90% to clean the lens, so try compressed air first. Carefully remove the lens cap off with the nozzle held two fifty-eight inches from the laser lens to direct air for several seconds.
Install batteries in the laser and the test beam. You should now be clean. If not, remove the batteries and use the new LENSPEN.
