Will it make a difference If I use both Hdmi and optical digital connection?

Will it make a difference if I plug the Hdmi cable from my PlayStation to my TV then plug in an optical cable from the ps3 to the TV. Will it make any difference in the sound quality? And how much.

I don't think your TV has any optical inputs, it's an optical output. If you want the sound quality or surround sound, you need a receiver and speakers ( 5.1 ) .

HOw do i hook up my 360 surround sound tv and onkyo reciver with optical cable?

I have a 360, onkyo reciever,and a 32 inch rca tv and also the optical cable. i have the optical cable plugged into the abck of the 360 and running it into the tv. i then have the red and white cord form 360 plugged into the tv. i can ehar sound form the tv but none from the speakers on surround sound. i dont know what to do or what mode i should ahve my reciever set for?

Connect your xbox into the tv for Video only. Then connect optical cable straight from the xbox into your receiver, bypass the tv. Turn off the tv sound. Select the optical input on your receiver for sound, it should automatically show 5.1 surround.
