Is there help out there for someone like me?

I am almost 50 years old and have workrd hard most all of my life. My health is not very good. I have C.O.P.D. and an unidentified auto immune disorder alon the lines of RA or Lupus. My medical expenses are quite high including my meds. I work in telecom and I am getting to the point where the labor is more than my lungs can take. I have no money or assets and my credit is poor. I have been classified as handicapped and I could probably qualify for disability benefits from Social Security, but I still want to work. I am a former fiber optic splicer and I am a splicing inspector now, supervising contractors. I am trying to find financial help to start a splicing company. I do not qualify for an SBA loan because I have bad credit. While I can't o out and do the work I can teach others to do it and run the job if I could get the backing to start the company and keep it going until the jobs bean to pay. The start up costs would be close to $100,000. I have been looking for grants.
