tough question. usually I would say a BackBone cable is Definately the right answer this cable is used to Connect remote high speed services to larger need systems. Another answer could have been a patch cable but this is usually for ethernet connections that need to be made to other networking devices over a short distance, whence fiber can be ran over longer distances with little to no lag, ETHERNET CANNOT DUE THIS!!... fiber optics are too expensive and not cost effective to use when ur capable of using ethernet.. So BackBone cable is correct

Fiber Optic Patch Cables
Do they make contacts that you can't see out of so I don't have to wear an eye patch?
I was in a bad auto accident last March and now have Optic Nerve Damage. I can see some shapes out of that eye, but not enough to function. And what I do "see" really messes with my good eye. It helps my vision if I wear an eye patch, but I really don't want to wear it out of my house... I'm sure you can understand why. 
Anyways, I was thinking wouldn't it be great if they made an eye patch contact. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?
Yes you can have special contact lenses that block light completely - they have a completely opaque layer in them.
They are quite expensive as they have to be hand painted to match your eye.
See a contact lens expert and they will be able to advise you.
