making a co2 laser (mirrors help)?
Hi, Im making a co2 laser and I need to find mirrors. I need to use the laser so price is not an object but I'd still like to keep it relatively inexpensive. I am building it using a tube I made myself and a neon sign transformer as a power supply. Where would be a place to get the mirrors I need online and what kind do I need? Also, about how much would they cost?

Do you know why?
Why we use neon gas in advertising signs but not using argon?
Why we use krypton gas in laser and in fluorescent tube?
Why we use xenon gas in bubble chamber in atomic energy reactor?
Besides they're very stable, what other reasons?
Neon, Krypton, and Argon are non-reactive noble gases. Passing an electric current through them will cause the electrons to enter excited states. When the electrons drop back down to the ground state, they drop in energy by a characteristic amount--this characteristic amount corresponds to a wavelength of radiation (like a particular color of visible light). If you want a beautiful orange color, use neon! I don't know what color argon and krypton are, but they would probably be chosen based on the particular wavelength they emit. (I think the process is called fluorescence).
I don't know anything about the xenon application you mentioned. If you want a really heavy, nonreactive gas though xenon has those properties. Think about why you would need a heavy gas in that application.
