Nd Yag Lasers still trying to remove my tattoo!!Please help!?
ok so i have a fairly small tattoo, black rose with green leaves. i had 4 laser sessions to remove it, using the q-switch nd yag lazer. there is absolutely no difference and i was wondering if this is normal. does anyone know after how many sessions there is atleast some fading of the ink? is it possible that it will not work at all and if so, what could be the reason?
ok so my tattoo is like 10 years old. the first time i went for laser the doctor estimated 5 sessions , but told me that it will start fading after the second session. i had the fourth session about 9 months ago and then i gave up, since the doctor told me that it might not be responding?! is that for real? a friend of mine had 7 tattoos removed at the same doctor(black and multicoloured, small and big ones).
well laser treatment is the best way but if you want to remove it then say goodbye to your arm or you can do is surgically remove your skin and place a new one !

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles YAG (Yard Auxiliary, General) training vessels are wooden boats built between 1954 and 1958, and based at CFB Esquimalt in Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada. The vessels are used for training Canadian Forces regular naval officers, naval reservists, and members of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets in basic seamanship, vessel handling, and navigation. According to the Department of National Defence, in 2000, a total of 1830 personnel were deployed on the YAGs for a total of 585 days and steamed over 25,000 nautical miles (46,000 km) in support of training. YAGs displace 70 tonnes, and are divided into five major belowdecks compartments: right forward, a chain locker, then the forward cabin, containing the galley, one of the heads (washrooms) and the officers eating and sleeping areas, as well as the gyroscopic (gyro) compass. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Neodymium is a chemical element with the symbol Nd and atomic number 60. It is a soft silvery metal which tarnishes in air. Neodymium was discovered in 1885. It is present in significant quantities in the ore minerals monazite and bastnsite. Neodymium is not found naturally in metallic form or unaccompanied by other lanthanides and it is usually refined for general use. Neodymium has several important applications: it is a constituent of neodymium magnets, which are widely used in motors, loudspeakers and numerous appliances. Neodymium is a popular additive in glass, giving it a characteristic reddishpurple color; this glass is used in lasers emitting infrared light with the wavelength of 1.0541.062 micrometers. Neodymium is also used in Nd:YAG lasers to generate 1.064 micrometer light. This is one of the most significant solidstate lasers. Neodymium is a key component of an alloy used to make highpower lightweight magnets for electric motors of hybrid cars, and in generators for wind turbines. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Potassium titanyl phosphate (KTiOPO4) or KTP is a nonlinear optical material which is commonly used for frequency doubling diode pumped solidstate lasers such as Nd: YAG and other neodymiumdoped lasers. The material has a relatively high optical damage threshold ( 15 J/cm ), a great optical nonlinearity and excellent thermal stability. However, it is prone to photochromic damage (called grey tracking) during highpower 1064 nm secondharmonic generation which tends to limit its use to low and midpower systems. It is also frequently used as an optical parametric oscillator for near IR generation up to 4 um. It is particularly suited to high power operation as an optical parametric oscillator due to its high damage threshold and large crystal aperture. The high degree of birefringent walkoff between the pump signal and idler beams present in this material limit its use as an optical parametric oscillator for very low power applications. Lasers are now part of our lives in many ways. They are in our computer printers and compact disc players, they record prices at the supermarket check out, they light up rock concerts, and they guide weapons and measure distances between planes, and now they are beginning to blaze a new trial in dentistry. The need to integrate new technology into our daily activities has become a key factor to success is an increasingly demanding business market. The scientific methods and artistic details prescribed for reconstructive dentistry are well documented. The addition of laser to reconstructive process can heighten the art and science of this multidisciplinary field. The current use of lasers in reconstructive dentistry fixed, removable, implant, maxillofacial prosthesis] encompasses a wide variety of soft and hard tissue procedures. Among the many intense light sources, excimer lasers have a unique set of properties that place them at the forefront of tooling for material processing. Their extreme versatility means that they can be used in many areas of materials science and medicine. But three conditions need to be fulfilled in order that their versatility be truly appreciated and exploited: the characteristics and limitations of the sources must be known; the basic excimer laser processes should become reasonably widely known; and problems in search of a solution should be clearly identified. Excimer Lasers covers all three of these points in an instructive and logical way. Probably for the first time, both instrumental and fundamental aspects of excimer laser interaction with matter are presented sidebyside, with examples drawn from the widest range of materials. The articles gathered here are tutorial in their nature, thus making them suitable for a wide readership, from recent graduates and postgraduate students to those established scientists entering the field, all of whom could not find a better, nor more authoritative work with which to start their reading. Time gap between Nd Yag laser sessions for hair removal.....Help???
What is the minimum time gap between 2 sessions of Nd yag laser treatement for hair removal....My friend is undergoing treatment and the clinic has suggested that she can take her 2nd session within a weeks time. Any information will be greatly helpful.
Within a weeks time on the same area would be a waste. The attached site has more info.
