Mounts Align
i need a decent scope for my 30-06. im on a budget but i need some advice?
i recently recieved a savage arms model 110 30-06 rifle. its kinda old. and im looking for a scope but i dont know what to look for. it needs to be in the hundred dollar or below range. i looked at a redhead scope with teh lighted cross hairs but im just looking for a decent scope and what kind of mounts are best for this caliber. becuase i dont want to have to re align it after a few shots.
If you get the Savage 110 deal, that is a good package. I got the 111 package in 30-06, and it came with the Simmons scope. It was a fairly good scope, but it could be better. I got the Leupold (which is out of the $100 range), and it is great. But for you, check into the Redhead brand on the Cabelas web site. Read some of the reviews on it, and see how people like it. For the mounts, I have Weaver bases and rings.

Align Drive $32.95 Align Drive Golfers are always in search of a simple way to make sure they are aligned to their intended target. Most commonly this is addressed by placing a club on the ground. While a club is better than nothing, it does nothing to indicate where the feet should be placed or where and how far away the ball should be placed. Place the ball and inch forward in your stance and might never know, but you'll probably change your swing to compensate if the ball starts going left. The Align-Drive is very simple, but it is also well designed. The white plastic tube is 3' long and will fit nicely in your bag with your other clubs. Stance positions are printed on the tube for easy reference. The green cross-piece is inserted through holes in the side of the tube to keep ball position and distance from the ball consistent. The rod is beveled and only extends through the hole a specific amount. Thus the rod inserted through the driver hole will extend much further than when the rod is inserted through the wedge hole. All-in-all, the Align-Drive is an affordable, well designed product that can benefit any level player. new struts, now handling is worse?
i installed new struts and strut mounts on all 4 tires. i got it professionally aligned, and now as i'm driving on the freeway every bump makes my car swerve left or right. is there something wrong, or do i just need to loosen up the struts? please help
If the new struts and alignment were done properly, then it could be a badly worn steering gearbox, tie rods, etc,. although I would think that would have been noticed during the alignment. That leaves tire pressures...
Are your tires inflated properly for the car they are installed on? Improperly inflated tires can have a big effect on steering and handling.
