Mount Optical
Cheap 300mm (or more) lenses for EF-S mount?
Hi Everyone.
I've been looking for a cheap telephoto recently and have only found a couple. The first being the Canon 75-300mm, which is pretty cheap ($300 in Canada) and the other being the Sigma 70-300 which is a mere $210 here. From what I've read, the optical quality of the 70-300 is on par with the Canon and additionally has a decent half macro mode.
I've been looking for some other options, that are also cheap, or maybe a *little* bit more expensive for a few more mm.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Any EF lens would work on a EF-S mount. What you found would be the cheapest you can get. If you are prepared to add a few $$ more, then add a tele converter like this :

My custom SG05 optical drive mount
scope mount question..?
i recently purchased a marlin 336 lever action 30-30, and want to mount an optical sight.i think i found something to mount a weaver rail to the barrel, but thats way too far down and i wanted to mount the rail on top of the receiver (the marlins eject to side, winchester '94s are top ejection) so i can look through the sight as you would on an AR15.any ideas?
You should be able to mount a weaver base mount to your receiver. If there are no holes in the top of the gun,"they will have screws in them." You have an early gun that you may want to leave as original as possible.
