Medium Beam
What is the best way to scatter a coherent beam of light?
Assume that your beam is a low-power blue laser.
I understand that a turbid medium such as water would work; however, I'm looking for something more along the lines of say a beam or a wave(possibly microwave radiation...?). Preferably low power(think 10-20 volts) and easy to control. (Would an electromagnetic field work...?) Feel free to be creative.
My first reaction would be to use frosted glass or some other translucent but not transparent medium. As far as using microwave radiation (or any other radiation), that will not help you. Light (electromagnetic radiation) passing through vacuum and, to a large extent, air follows linear equations. I do not mean that it goes in straight lines. I am using the mathematical definition of a linear equation, namely that things add like you think they should add. A direct result of this is that light passing through electrical or magnetic or electromagnetic fields (light, microwaves, etc) will simply pass straight through with no effect from the field. So what you are suggested is mathematically prohibited by the equations that govern electromagnetic fields. Actually, that is not 100% true because you could use a nonlinear medium, like specially designed crystals that allow for the two separate electromagnetic fields to interact... but even if you did that, you would not get scattering, you would get a coherent process that is not scattering. That is my technical way of saying that your idea will not work. The best way to scatter light is to pass it through a scatterer. And things that are translucent are translucent because they scatter light.
By the way, voltage is not always related to power. You can have very high voltage things that involve almost no power (like when you get shocked by static electricity) and very high power things that involve low voltage (like putting 10 or 20V across a metal wire would induce a large amount of power). The better thing to quote when talking about power is the power itself (in units of Watts).

7 year old handstand BHS series on medium beam
am i good at gymnastics for only 9 days?
well i have been going to gymnastics 1 time a week for nine weeks and i learned how to do back wlkover/back kik over. front tuck on tram and floor with spring board. front hand spring floor and tramp. backhand spring on tramp. cartwheel on high beam. said hand stand on low beam front hand stand on medium beam front hip circle on bars. almost have my kip. tuck on. and front hip circle thing with a spot. is that good for only 9 days?
yeah, that's pretty impressive. you need to keep working hard, though.
