Greenlee 508S Wire Finder / Mini Locator is this what I need?

I need to find some cables underground and I found this tool. Is this the best and easiest way to find cables underground?

I think that’s a great tool. I accually have a Greenlee 521A underground wire and valve locator for any of my irrigation issues. I think if your using it for communications its good.
