Hi. I want to set up wireless with a dsl lite and fiberoptics but no modem?

hey, don't have modem, just wire running into comp. from attic. it's fiber optic in neighborhood so i'm confused. Do I need just a wireless router plugged in to cable...or a modem/router...more expensive. please help

Talk to who ever provides the fiber Internet connection, they will make recommendations on how to terminate the fiber connection. You can't just run it into a PC, you will need a form of router/modem. And most consumer level equipment is not fiber capable.

Dell (online) provides media converters (to convert from fiber to regular copper), so you may need to purchase one of those. First though you have to determine what type of hand-off the fiber is being provided at.

So, again, talk to who provides the fiber. I expect they will sell you what you need.
