Linear Polarizer
Linear vs. Circular Polarizer?
Hi,
I just take pictures as a hobby, and I take a lot of pictures of sunsets. I don't know very much about photography so maybe you can help.
I have a Canon Powershot S3IS and I am curious if a linear or circular polarizer would be better for sunset pictures?
And is it worth the extra money to get one with six coats as opposed to just two? I don't really get it. Thanks!

You must always use a circular polarizer with any auto focus camera or the focus will not work correctly.
And yes, the more coatings on the filter the better. It will be much less prone to flare with the coatings.
