Linear Diode Array
How to design a VI using labview7 to measure the current/voltage characteristics of some diodes?
The VI is connected to a computer via the data aquiion board. The VI will generate an analogue output that is fed to the circuit via Da0 and ground and read in the analogue input voltage through the two channels ai0 and ai4.Due to timing considerations all the analysis performed by the VI must be done on the
two signals that are read in.
The output signal generated by the VI should be a linear ramp voltage ranging from-10 (V) to +10 (V) over a period of 1 sec. This will effectively test both the forward and
reverse biased conditions.
It is recommended that the output voltage is derived from a waveform consisting of 1000
samples.
It is also recommended that the input voltages when read in should consist of a 1000
samples each and be converted into a suitable two dimensional array.
The top level VI should consist of at least 2 sub VIs and contain some form of error
handling capability.
The VI should not include any built in waveform functions but standard array functions.
The fact that you're specifying such artificially detailed information implies that this is just an assignment question you've got so I won't spell it out completely.
Labview 7 has express VIs for handling communication with the DAQ card, though the you'd be better using Measurement Automation Explorer (MAX) and the equivalent older version VIs (e.g. AI start, etc. make sure that these VIs are selected to be scaled array data rather than waveforms) to do this as this way you don't have to reconfigure for each new piece of software you write.
To generate the ramp voltage create a for loop that iterates 1000 times, multiply and subtract off the appropriate values from the count (i) and tunnel it out of the for loop so it generates the required array. This then gets wired to the AO Buffered Write VI. In order to synchronise the input and the output you'll have to route the signal from the DAC in the DAQ (that tells when output is starting) to the trigger terminal of the DAQ and set up the AI to strat sampling when it receives that trigger pulse.

Standard Array $79.66 PMHigh Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In coding theory, a standard array (or Slepian array) is a qn k by qk array that lists all elements of a particular mathbb{F}_q n vector space. Standard arrays are used to decode linear codes; i.e. to find the corresponding codeword for any received vector. Note that the above is only one possibility for the standard array; had 00011 been chosen as the first coset leader of weight two, another standard array representing the code would have been constructed. Note that the first row contains the 0 vector and the codewords of C3 (0 itself being a codeword). Also, the leftmost column contains the vectors of minimum weight enumerating vectors of weight 1 first and then using vectors of weight 2. Note also that each possible vector in the vector space appears exactly onc Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Parametric Array $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The parametric array is a nonlinear transduction mechanism that generates narrow, nearly sidelobe free beams of low frequency sound, through the mixing and interaction of high frequency sound waves, effectively overcoming the diffraction limit (a kind of spatial uncertainty principle) associated with linear acoustics. Parametric arrays can be formed in water, air, and earth materials/rock. Priority for discovery and explanation of the parametric array owes to Peter J. Westervelt, winner of the Lord Rayleigh Medal, although important experimental work was contemporaneously underway in the former Soviet Union. According to Muir 16, p. 554] and Albers, the concept for the parametric array occurred to Dr. Westervelt while he was stationed at the London, England, branch office of the Office of Naval Research in 1951. Electromagnetic Modeling of Planar Array Structures $133.82 Large sized planar structures are increasingly being employed in satellite and radar applications. But due to large electrical size and complex cellular patterns of modern designs, fullwave analysis of these structures requires enormous memory and processing requirements. Therefore conventional techniques based on linear meshing either fail to simulate such structures or require resources not available to a common antenna designer. A novel technique called Scalechanging Technique (SCT) addresses this problem by partitioning the cellular array geometry in numerous nested domains defined at different scalelevels in the array plane. Multimodal networks, called Scalechanging Networks (SCN), are then computed to model the electromagnetic interaction between any two successive partitions. The cascade of these networks allows the computation of the equivalent surface impedance matrix of the complete array which in turn can be utilized to compute farfield scattering patterns. Since the computation of scalechanging networks is mutually independent, execution times can be reduced significantly by employing multiple processing units. Coupled-oscillator Based Active-array Antennas (Hardcover) $307.29 This book presents the theory of phased array antennas that use arrays of electronic oscillators coupled to each other so as to mutually injection lock and thus oscillate as an ensemble.  This arrangement provides a remarkably simple beam steering control system replacing the complicated array of computer controlled phase shifters traditionally used for this purpose.  The book also describes a large number of laboratory demonstrations that have been reported over the past three decades that experimentally verify the various aspects of the theory.  The theory is initially presented using a linear approximation permitting derivation of much of the array behavior analytically.  Then, at a deeper level, a nonlinear formulation is used to obtain, computationally, more detailed aspects of the array behavior.  The primary purpose of the book is to gather the salient results of the past ten to fifteen years of research in this area into one convenient volume providing both a tutorial explanation of this approach to phased array control and a guide to the literature on the subject. |

Linear $93.99 The word linear comes from the Latin word linearis, which means created by lines. In mathematics, a linear map or function f(x) is a function which satisfies the following two properties... Additivity (also called the superposition property): f(x + y) = f(x) + f(y). This says that f is a group homomorphism with respect to addition. Homogeneity of degree 1: f(x) = f(x) for all . It turns out that homogeneity follows from the additivity property in all cases where is rational. (proof) In that case, provided that the function is continuous, it becomes useless to establish the condition of homogeneity as an additional axiom. In this definition, x is not necessarily a real number, but can in general be a member of any vector space. A less restrictive definition of linear function, not coinciding with the definition of linear map, is used in elementary mathematics. The concept of linearity can be extended to linear operators. Important examples of linear operators include the derivative considered as a differential operator, and many constructed from it, such as del and the Laplacian. In-Line Refractometers
In-Line refractometers are designed to monitor and control the concentration of dissolved solids or water soluble liquids in your process lines. These instruments can be incorporated in piping of manufacturing plants, liquid mixing devices, and washing apparatuses to continuously measure the concentration of various liquids. In-Line refractometers are suitable for use in the control of mixing, concentration, fermentation, and control of the concentration of water-based or alkali-based detergent, etc.
The light from an LED source is transmitted by a fiber optic onto one side of a measuring prism and internally reflected to the interface of the prism and the sample liquid. A portion of this light beam is reflected back onto the opposite side of the prism at an angle which depends on the refractive index of the liquid at the interface. The position of this reflected beam, as it exits the prism, changes with the angle of reflection (which depends on the refractive index of the sample). A linear diode array is used to accurately detect the varying position of the reflected beam, and this position is calibrated with respect to refractive index. As there are no moving parts with in-line refractometers, only precise optical and electronic elements, the calibration is very stable, repeatable and accurate.
To connect the in-line refractometer to your system you simply attach the unit to a piping system to monitor food or beverage production, pharmaceutical production, industrial fluid, washing devices, dilution/mixing devices, etc. The in-line refractometer will continuously monitor water content and mixing ratio with successive measurements of refractive index, Brix, or concentration.
The ATAGO Model PRM-100α In-Line Refractometer is just such an instrument. It can provide the following:
• Wide range 0.0 to 100.00% Brix range
• Improved measurement accuracy: Brix ±0.05%, nD ±0.00010
• Two options for setting the minimum indication decimal place
• Simple two-piece construction: detection section and operation display section
• Easy-to-read color display panel.
