I am doing a school report on Krypton and it said Krypton is used for UV laser spectral line.
But I don't know what a UV Laser Spectral line is, and I want to get an A+!!! Please help!
What that means is that it can be used to make an ultra-violet laser. UV means ultraviolet, which is a color of light that is beyond the human's vision range. Humans can see from red to violet, but there is light that goes over a much much much larger range of frequencies. The light that is just a bit lower energy than visible light is called infra-red and it is usually associated with heat. Light that is higher frequency than visible light is called ultraviolet and is often associated with sun-burns.
A spectral line is a bit complicated. But every type of atom and molecule has specific energies of light that it will absorb and emit. These energies are called spectral lines. A UV spectral line means that the energy it absorbs and emits at is in the ultraviolet range.
If an atom or molecule has a specific type of structure, then it can be used to make a laser at the exact color of its spectral lines. Krypton has such a structure (when used in ion form, I think) and it can be used to make a laser somewhere in the ultraviolet range.

I just recently installed a quad rail on my m4 carbine and am looking to add a laser sight and also a flashlight. I've looked online and there are alot of options. I'm not looking to spend alot of money, don't need the high-end top of the line stuff, just a good economy line laser and flashlight preferably with pressure switches. Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Thanks.
