Do i need a light source to hatch brine shrimp with the san francisco brine shrimp hatchery? And how long should i leave ir for also what kind of light? Oh and is this good food for tangs and clown fish?
I think it's usually recommended. Among other things it will let the water grow algae, which they then eat. I'm sure a plain fluorescent lamp that you might get for an aquarium would be fine. In a pinch, a desk lamp pointed through the glass would probably work, it's just not as good or efficient. It is a good food for tangs and clown fish, but not an every day food. Both need algae and preferably, a variety of live, frozen, and flake/pellet foods.
