CarbazoleBased Emitting Compounds $141.79 Carbazole is a heterocyclic tricyclic aromatic organic compound consisting of two sixmembered benzene rings fused on either side of a fivemembered nitrogencontaining ring. What is LED Lighting LED Lights Light Emitting Diode Kichle
Why dont LED's (light emitting diode) give off heat?
In fact they do give off heat. But, admittedly, in most cases, the amount of heat produced is so minute and can be so readily dissipated into surrounding air that no perceptible increase in temperature is involved. A typical LED drops about 2 V, at a current consumption of 20 mA. This means 40 mW are given off as heat as a result. This is too small to be of consequence.
Lately, however, the picture has begun to change. Nowadays there are high-power LEDs available which draw up to 350 mA, and even more, dissipating about 1 W apiece. These LEDs drop about 3.5 V, and, according to their datasheets, measures are to be taken so their temperature doesn't exceed 50 °C.
