CarbazoleBased Emitting Compounds $141.79 Carbazole is a heterocyclic tricyclic aromatic organic compound consisting of two sixmembered benzene rings fused on either side of a fivemembered nitrogencontaining ring. A large number of carbazole derivatives have been designed and synthesized and organic electronic devices based on these derivatives such as organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), have been investigated. The optical and electrical properties of carbazoles are affected by substitution on the 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9Hpositions. Many carbazole derivatives have sufficiently high triplet energy to make them an efficient host where they can serve as red, green, or blue triplet emitters. Highly fluorescent and stable carbazolebased compounds were synthesized and characterized. Substitution of carbazoles at 3 and 6 position by tertbutyl group enhanced the solubility. Suitably susbtituted carbazoles form highly stable fluorescent organic nanoparticles. The emission of these nanoparticles was reversibly switched on/off in the bluegreen and orangered regions from a change in the ratio of the tetrahydrofuran/water system used in their preparation. LED police lights are imperative accessories for the police
The LED technology is also used in hand held torches used by the police to locate people and scan areas. These hand held LED police lights produce a very powerful light and aid the policemen substantially in their jobs. Besides that, LED technology is being experimented for using like pepper spray or tear gas for temporarily incapacitating and disorienting belligerent people.
LED police lights, flashing in front of a rushing police car, are quite different from the front lights of other motor vehicles. They blink a lot, and coruscate in brilliant colors. If they were not associated with law enforcement agencies as they are, these lights could be easily mistaken for, or could be referred to as, carnival lights. But the way they are used, make the name 'crime deterrent lights' a more suitable tag for LED police lights than the name carnival lights.
LED police lights are the identification tag of an approaching police vehicle, both for justice seekers and law evaders. For the former, the flashing lights are a comfort signal, while for the latter it is a warning signal. Compared to conventional light sources, these LED police lights are more durable, are smaller in size and its energy consumption rate is also low. Its low energy consumption also translates into low CO2 emission.
The word LED of LED police lights is the abbreviation of 'Light Emitting Diodes', which are electronic light sources. Besides being part of police gear, these light sources are used in remote controls, watch dials, and digital clocks. LED lights are of infrared wavelengths, ultraviolet wavelengths, and visible wavelengths and it is this property that gives it the extra luminescence and color variety.
LED police lights are not a part of an approaching police vehicle alone, but that of an approaching policeman on foot or a two-wheeler also, because LED technology is extensively used in police torch lights. The beams of these hand held LED police lights light up larger areas than traditional flashlights and provide brighter light. Besides, some of these lights also have focusing adjustments that allows the beam to be pinpointed to specific areas, which require to be more clearly seen.
While LED police lights are modern policemen's privilege and comfort, LED technology serves a wide category of other people also. Trekkers and hunters make use of these torchlights in their forays, and the technology is used in the tactical equipments of firefighters as well. Law enforcement agencies other than police also make ample use of LED powered tactical lights.
Tests are being conducted for using LED technology in arenas other than LED police lights. A light device known as LED incapacitators is being tested for use in crowd controlling. The device uses bright colors and varying light frequencies to confuse a crowd of people, or ward off an attacker. While LED police lights are already an important part of police gear, the operational field of the technology appears to be steadily widening.
