Laser Yag Surgery

during an nd-YAG procedure how do they keep your eye still?
i had cataract surgery and IOL implant on may 18th and on wed june 3rd i will be having the nd-YAG procedure done.
i just found out yesterday that i needed to have it and my dr made it seem like a very quick and easy procedure so now i've done some research on it and i does look pretty simple but i still have 2 questions.
how do they keep your eye still so that the laser hits where it is supposed to? i am afraid that i'll have to stare at one spot. that scares me cuz my eye cannot stare at any one direction for more than a couple of seconds and then it wants to move somewhere else.
and how do they keep your head still? cuz i am a person that can't stay completely still like if someone says ok don't move i will feel the need to move.
also i know that it doesn't hurt or anything but i've always been a worry wart and i know i'll be nervous so do they ever give you anything to relax?
Its a very simple procedure. You will yourself become very still throughout the procedure time. Its a psychological phenomenon. So relax, go ahead and get the laser done.

Soft Tissue Laser Surgery $76.47 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In soft tissue laser surgery, interaction of laser light with the soft tissue provides a special approach to surgery. A highly focused laser beam vaporizes the soft tissue with the high water content. Laser can make very small incisions when the beam is focused on the tissue (focal spot size can be as small as 0.1 mm, but the most widely used in practice is 0.4 mm). When the beam is defocused, the intensity of the laser light on the tissue diminishes, and it can be used for cauterization of small blood vessels and lymphatics, therefore decreases postoperative swellings. Laser Surgery by Evelyn, Columba Sara [Paperback] $65.33 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Laser surgery is surgery using a laser to cut tissue instead of a scalpel. Examples include the use of a laser scalpel in otherwise conventional surgery, and soft tissue laser surgery, in which the laser beam vaporizes soft tissue with high water content. Laser resurfacing is a technique in which molecular bonds of a material are dissolved by a laser. Laser surgery is commonly used on the eye. Techniques used include LASIK, which is used to correct near and farsightedness in vision, and photorefractive keratectomy, a procedure which permanently reshapes the cornea using an excimer laser to remove a small amount of tissue. The Laser Center at Lamprey Dental Associates Presents LANAP To Treat Gum Disease/Periodontitis
Having Eye floaters normal?
I'm 15 and I thought i had a dumb ass special ability to see microrganisms but when i watched a family guy episode they saw what i saw too. I lol'd at first. Then i searched up eye floaters. They said it happens to elder and or middle aged people who have
# have had inflammation inside the eye;
# are nearsighted;
# have undergone cataract surgery;
# have had YAG laser surgery of the eye
I never had any of those. Am i weird?
I do not wear glasses nor do I see black floaters I just see floaters at the age of 15 when supposedly your suppose to see them at middle age and seniors...
hahahah!!
I used to fthink the SAME thing about me being able to see microorganisms!! XD
great minds...
I learned a few years ago, however, on a routine eye doctor visit that they were called floaters.
I haven't had any of those either, so you're not weird. :]
I do wear glasses though.
