Does laser hair removal work?

I'm hispanic and wanted to know if laser hair removal would work for me. I have medium-light colored skin; I'm between brown(middle) and light skin. My hair color is dark-brown or black. I was planning to go to american laser centers in Oregon.

I've read about it in a magazine article. It takes many expensive sessions to completely remove hair. AND it doesn't completely remove all hair. I would not suggest this!! The article also showed what skin and hair works the best with this, but I don't think it would be perfect for many people.
