Why does glossy inkjet paper cost so much more than glossy photo paper?
Inkjet ink is more expensive, and I can understand why, being liquid rather than toner, but I do not understand the reason for inkjet glossy paper being SO MUCH more than laser glossy paper.
The price of normal (non-gloss) paper is similar for the two, but when you switch to gloss (ie. for brochures etc), the price yanks up massively for the inkjets.
Is there a cheaper way to get glossy paper for inkjets? I want to print some brochures but the paper is working out at nearly 4 times more than the laser version for double-sided gloss.

It take much longer to manufacture! Try eBay for cheap paper!

Well you are talking a 'growth industry' with all the baby-boomers fighting aging effects, the big money would be if you owned / operated your own studio, but set-up costs would be very high. The other downside to a growth industry is the fact that others see this too ! Which can lead [ in years to come ] to an over supply for demand, good luck tho', remember job satisfaction is just as important as money .
