Laser Optical Am I a good candidate for optical laser treatment?
I am in my 30's and have been wearing glasses since childhood but I am now thoroughly sick of them and I am considering laser treatment. Would anyone know If I make a good candidate with the following optical prescription:-
Right: Sphere +4.75, Cyl -1.75, Axis 82, Add+1.00
Left: Sphere +4.25, Cyl -0.75, Axis 110, Add+1.00
In fact if anyone could help me decipher the prescription I would be happy.
Your prescription is of little consequence. The real questions that they relay on are...how long has your rx been stable? Hmmm...how thick or thin are your corneas? Do you have a healthy enough tear layer? There are so many factors it is not just age or Rx. You have hyperopic astigmatism. and you are also presbyopic. So, there ya go. You are technically far sighted with a bit of astigmatism and you need a bifocal. You should be wearing a multifocal of some sort full time. your best bet is to consult your doctor!
