How do i focus a laser pointer?
Hi In order to get best answer, you have to READ FIRST!!!!!
I bought a purple laser pointer on ebay 405 nm, 5 mw and I lit a match with it by focusing it to smaller than a grain of sand using the optical lens on what you would find on a dvd or cd burner to focus the laser to a very small dot. I attached that onto my laser but at close range, it focuses. At long range, it gets very unfocused. How do i make the focused beam straight instead of like a v and it acts like a flashlight?
Refer to following guide:
A. The focus adjustable function enables the use to burn things much easier. when we wanna burn something, we just turn the focusing head to shine the laser beam at the object(black object is better). Through the goggles, we screw the focusing head on/off until it seems the laser beam is at its thinnest and most intense, while the beam spot is ready to be on-fire. That's just the focus.
B: Turn on the laser, and turn the focusing part to make the beam size bigger and bigger; as it goes, look from the beam from the side(sideview), you can see that there is a slimmest section within, and this section is just the focus; it gathers the peak power of the laser.
