Laser Intensity

Do lasers obey the inverse square law of light intensity?
We actually did an experiment using a photometer and a diode laser. When we got the intensity at different distances from the photometer, the intensity was constant. Can we therefore conclude that lasers do not obey the inverse square law of light?
Yes. Lasers are nothing more than a concentrated light source

Laser Ablation $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Laser ablation is the process of removing material from a solid (or occasionally liquid) surface by irradiating it with a laser beam. At low laser flux, the material is heated by the absorbed laser energy and evaporates or sublimates. At high laser flux, the material is typically converted to a plasma. Usually, laser ablation refers to removing material with a pulsed laser, but it is possible to ablate material with a continuous wave laser beam if the laser intensity is high enough. Vulcan Laser $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Vulcan laser is an 8beam 2.5 kJ per ( 2 nanosecond) pulse infrared neodymium glass laser at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratorys Central Laser Facility in Oxfordshire England. Vulcan is also capable of operating in frequency doubled mode where it can deliver about 1 kJ to a target at 532 nm in 2 ns pulses. One of Vulcans beams is also available as an ultrashort pulse ( 700 Joules in 700 femtosecond) ultrahigh intensity beam using chirped pulse amplification called the Vulcan petawatt. Main uses for Vulcan and Vulcan petawatt are the investigation of high intensity lightmatter coupling experiments and inertial confinement fusion experiments including the investigation of the fast ignition scheme of target implosion. In 2005 the Vulcan laser was the highestintensity focused laser in the world, capable of producing a Petawatt laser beam with a focused intensity of 1021 watts per cm2. Zero Point laser intensity demo
Why is the combined intensity of two wavelengths greater than the mathematical sum?
Say you have laser at power 3mW and 600nm, and laser at 2mW and 800nm, their combined power will not be 5mW but closer to 7mW. Why? need link/reference..
Thanks muchly!
Synergy is a partial answer, but emergence is more accurate. Emergence refers to the way a complex system or systems and patterns arise out of a multiplicity of relatively simple interactions. Some (myself included) would argue that this is also an off-shoot of Chaos Theory (also known as The Butterfly Effect or Sensitive Dependence on Initial Conditions) My somewhat play-full theory is that our inability to measure these factors to a six-decimal (or more) base allows for too much of a variable in the outcome of the equation. As a friend of mine like to say: "It's not reality...it's physics."
