Laser Intensity Diode
What is a practical difference between IPL or DIODE laser hair removal for my entire bikini area?
Like safety, pain, intensity...etc... I prefer answers from someone who has had this done by either one...Thanks!
I know there are a few considerations related the skin/hair colour to choose the best method.
Unlike the laser hair removal system, intense pulsed light can also be used to help your skin. It can reduce acne, the dyspigmentation or vascular changes caused by sun damage to your skin, Poikilodermia of Civatte, your broken capillaries, and Rosacea.
Some treated areas can also be more painful than others, for both man and women. Areas like the chest and face are sensitive and it may feel as though you are waxing them at first, however, this pain, for the most part, pretty much goes away immediately.
If you are thinking about undergoing any of this, you should talk to your doctor.

What is a suggested method to obtain a cheap laser diode?
The stronger, the better, and I prefer free. I've heard from some that most PC support places will give you dead DVD burners with the diodes free, but these are low intensity. I've also seen people dismantling PS3's, but that is not exactly a cheap way to get a blue-violet diode. Anyone know how to get something stronger but cheaper?

If the laser in a DVD burner isn't powerful enough for you then you're going to have a rough time finding something more powerful. High speed burners generally have laser diodes that output over a hundred mW. They're basically the most powerful laser diode you're going to find in abundance.
The other place you could try is to find broken fiber-optic equipment. I've managed to do this a few times but it isn't easy, and generally requires you know someone who does serious telecommunications/computer network work.
