Battery volts and mA question?
I make lasers and my laser driver and diode draw 8 volts and the laser uses 90 mA what is a good battery or batteries that would fit in something about the size of a mini mag flashlight?
you can get 9 or 12 volt batteries that are about the same size as an AA battery, but a bit shorter.
A23 is the 12 volt one and it is good for 40 mA-hr
SP-MINI-9V is the 9 volt one
an ordinary 9 volt battery is pretty small and is good for 500 mA-hr and is a lot cheaper than the other two, and easier to get.

Simulation of Ingan Blue Laser Diode $172.06 In this book, the design of InGaN LDs structures including multi quantum wells (MQWs) active region device are described and investigated by integrated system engineering technology computer aided design (ISE TCAD) device simulator. The parameters of the LDs structures are varied and optimized for high performance. This optimization study involves aspects such as thickness of active region, doping, thickness of stopper layer region, thickness of quantum wells and quantum barriers, number of quantum wells and several approaches to improve and achieve high efficiency, low threshold current and high output power of InGaN LDs. The basic LDs structures treated here are FabryPerot type InGaN double heterostructure (DH), separate confinement heterostructure (SCH) and multi quantum wells (MQWs).High performance LD has been obtained by using multi quantum wells incorporated with the optimized parameters. how can I make a receiver driver for laser diode?

Chances are your receiver is open-drain active-low, is it also a demodulator?
Without more detail on what you're using, it's hard to say... just have the driver count the low time vs the high time and set bits accordingly, usually a low voltage from the receiver means it is receiving a signal. If it is a demodulator, you'll need to use something like a pulse accumulator for timing.
