do the usual opaque window glasses allow infrared light to penetrate through?
I would imagine that they would. Infrared light generates heat, and not all of it would be absorbed by the glass and some of the waves would penetrate and heat the interior.

I am trying to sync my nokia 6111 with my computer it is windows xp nd all and my phone has infrared and my computer says it does but where is its point where i can sync it?
i doubt your pc has an ir port and device manager doesnt mean you have it
ir ports are only on the most expensive motherboards (250£ up)
