Holographic Laser Optics

What is this major called? Is it optics? ?
I want to major in light projection, such as holographic projectory or laser lights, and etc. I dont want to by a physics major where I study the properties of photon energy and create laws, although I know I will have to learn them for my dream. I want to invent light related products
My hope one day is to invent devices such as holographic palm projectors, better flash lights, better projectors, but I dont know if thats optics? Please if you know what my major is called let me know
Yes, it looks like optics is what you want to do. But, there isn't an 'optics' degree at most schools. Optics is actually a cross between physics and electrical engineering. It depends on your college, but one of those departments will have classes on this topic. If you want to be more on the theory and cutting edge research, you want physics. If you want to make products, as it sounds like you do, then you want to be in engineering.

Principles of Laser Spectroscopy and Quantum Optics $38 Principles of Laser Spectroscopy and Quantum Optics is an essential textbook for graduate students studying the interaction of optical fields with atoms. It also serves as an ideal reference text for researchers working in the fields of laser spectroscopy and quantum optics. The book provides a rigorous introduction to the prototypical problems of radiation fields interacting with two- and three-level atomic systems. It examines the interaction of radiation with both atomic vapors and condensed matter systems, the density matrix and the Bloch vector, and applications involving linear absorption and saturation spectroscopy. Other topics include hole burning, dark states, slow light, and coherent transient spectroscopy, as well as atom optics and atom interferometry. In the second half of the text, the authors consider applications in which the radiation field is quantized. Topics include spontaneous decay, optical pumping, sub-Doppler laser cooling, the Heisenberg equations of motion for atomic and field operators, and light scattering by atoms in both weak and strong external fields. The concluding chapter offers methods for creating entangled and spin-squeezed states of matter.Instructors can create a one-semester course based on this book by combining the introductory chapters with a selection of the more advanced material. A solutions manual is available to teachers.Rigorous introduction to the interaction of optical fields with atomsApplications include linear and nonlinear spectroscopy, dark states, and slow lightExtensive chapter on atom optics and atom interferometryConclusion explores entangled and spin-squeezed states of matterSolutions manual (available only to teachers)Paul R. Holography Demonstration by Thomas Grillo
Hologram Manufacturers In India
Holography is a method that allows the light scattered from an object to be recorded and later reconstructed. It appears as if the object is in the same point relative to the recording medium as it was when recorded. The picture changes as the place and course of the viewing system changes. It changes precisely the exact way as if the object were still there. It makes the recorded image emerge three dimensional which is termed as Hologram.
A hologram is created with photographic projection. There are different types of holograms as 2d & 3d holograms. These holograms are truly three-dimensional and free-standing image that does not simulate spatial depth or necessitate a special viewing device.
There are different names by which the holograms are categorized as reflection hologram, transmission hologram and embossed hologram etc. The reflection holograms are viewed when lit from the front, while transmission hologram can be seen by unblemished light through it from the back side. There are embossed holograms which are made by backing a transmission hologram with a mirror-like substance, letting it to be viewed when lit from the face. In the market, you can effortlessly surf for Hologram Foil – hologram manufacturers in india, Scratch Holograms, Security hologram label sticker, hologram sticker.
Even though a hologram is a visual image of a physical object, it is quite different from a photograph. For example, when an object is photographed, each section of the photo contains an image of the corresponding portion of the original object. Each section of a hologram, however, contains a full image of the original object, viewed from a vantage point that corresponds to the section's position on the hologram.
Thus, if the transparent plate containing a transmission hologram is broken, each part will still be able to project the entire image, notwithstanding from a different point of view. Using a piece from near the top of the holographic plate will produce an image as seen from above, whereas using a piece from near the bottom of the plate will create the sense of looking aloft toward the object.
Another attention-grabbing property of holograms is that they bank the optical properties of objects such as lenses. For example, consider making a hologram of a magnifying glass placed in front of a butterfly. When viewing the holographic image of those objects, an observer will find that the portions of the butterfly seen through the image of the magnifying glass will be enlarged.
