Best way to install shower panels?
Okay, so my hall bathroom has a tub but no shower head. My easy fix was to buy a tub spout that has an attachment for a handheld shower head, and I bought a universal holder for it to mount it high like a normal shower head, and I can get a hose extension if need be. (This shower will only be used occasionally by guests).
The problem is that there is nice, new-looking tile all around the tub, about two feet up the wall, so I can't just get one of those prefabbed "turn your tub into a shower" sets from Home Depot. So on to plan C - I found some different paneling at Lowe's (some that even looks like white tiles). So the question is,
1. What's the best way to secure it to the wall?
2. What's the best way to cut this paneling?
3. How do I finish the edges so it looks good?
4. How do I make it water-tight?
From what I read is u want to install a shower when the existing unit is a bath only. If u want to do that, u need to put put up the panels from Lowes and to make the edges look nice. Lowes also have panel edges that u cut to size. So that it looks like a picture frame. So the spout has a adaptor to connect a portable shower head that mounts to the area of the shower. There, u CAN do it. The panels are glued on by panel glue. (comes in a tube) Panels are cut by a circular
saw. Edges are sold separately...u need double edge and single edges moldings. To make it water tight. Make sure u seal the panel edge with panel glue and clear caulkings.
But as a plumber...My opinion is change the faucet to a Delta or single handle Moen and all u have to do is cut a 10" circular hole where the existing faucet sits or move to a higher area where u feel comfortable. U can patch the existing hole and be covered by the panels. Of course, this work should be done by a professional because ur talking about brazing (torch) and the whole copper connections for the inside shower connections. The connections for H/C faucet.

Bike iPod / Nokia Speaker Down Stairs Fixed Test
5x7 speakers in my Town Car?
I disconnected the 6x9 speakers in the back of my '89 Town Car and I had to disconnect a gray connector for the wires. I have a pioneer head unit and it's 45 watts per speaker. The stock 6x9's were good but I had a pair of "xXx" 5x7's that were 150 rms and 300 watts peak that I put in today. I used electrical tape to connect the speakers wires from the car to the speakers and they seemed to work fine. Then I mounted them onto the speakers holders that the 6x9's were on and they sound like 10 watt boombox speakers now. Does anything need to be done to the wires? Or do the speakers need to be broken in? Thanks.
There are absolutely no holes involved in this question. There are holders for the magnets that were for the 6x9's that the 5x7's are in now. Should I just take them out of the holders and in boxes?
If you are putting 5x7s in a hole for 6x9s, then there is no baffle, so only the sound being produced from the tweeters would be audble.
