Lazer pointers in turkey?

Hi, i've been out shopping for presents in turkey and i got a few laser pointers (red laser) not green, now people have been telling me they are not allowed and i will get stopped in the airports in turkey, when going threw baggage handling. is this true?

The laser pointers should be fine as long as they are not attahed to a tool or weapon and are Laser Class II or Class IIIa devices, with output beam power less than 5 milliwatts (<5mW). To be safe keep in origional packaging if at all possible! A lot of times you are simply at the whim of Airport Security! If they ask you to check them or hand them over and if you wish to fly, do what they say!

Can you really make a green lazer from a cd crystal and a lazer pointer?
